Direct eye contact is o.k. However, nothing sets you apart from the masses of interestingly dressed people like good old fashioned ignoring. We have been covering all kinds of hip ways to pose for your photos but this one seems to be a favorite. The look down pose-still trending up from L.Y. (last year) and might even become a staple pose. It's safe to combine pose elements too, so if you want you can mix posing with animals with look down pose and maybe even posing with a bike (as long as it has a limited number of gears)
I think it's also important to slouch while practicing this pose. Let your shoulders sink low, of course keep eye contact on the ground, but its simple to amplify the effect by slouching too.
