Standing On things You Normally Don't

This season narcissism has teamed with standing/posing on things that you normally would not. It's an unexpected pairing that has delivered some outstanding results. We are just starting to heart this trend; we have a semi-heart-on for it. Some ideas for things to stand or sit on: a tombstone (a little goth, but hey that's an acceptable reference point these days,) a sculpture, baroque furniture, or high up on a tree. Can't wait to see how this trend evolves.

Trend in Posing: Standing Like a Tea-Cup (revival)

So some of you may be thinking that the tea cup pose is old and not hip anymore. Well sometimes things take a little while before they catch on-sometimes it takes a bit for things to seep out into the world to be implemented in ones lifestyle. The tea cup pose is a perfect example of this. Monsieur Chic is innovating and mixing a little of the old with the new. We heart our newest posing muse for innovating and putting his own twist on this classic tea cup pose. The other photos are a little more conservative but are included to show how far we have come--in such a short amount of time. Plus I just want to say it's great to see so many of you being inspired by our blog!

American Icon X Posing with Animals:

Audrey Hepburn, an american icon, was no stranger to posing with animals. She had wonderful style, and choice of animals. Sometimes it's important to look to the past for inspiration: Audrey knew that an animal can be used to accessorize with-as we can see from these photos. I wonder if she was aware of the inversion theory of animal hipness? The law states that as technology increases in society the more hip un-technological things become. Not Knowing The Answer. Big Trend For Summer

This is BLOWING UP right now.  Ahh the beautiful.  There's so many of us out there now that low self esteem and a lack of confidence are coming back-in a big way.  The Head Scratch pose is huge and its very hip.  Its a sort of anti-aesthetic. Isn't it funny how just a little while ago we were all into abstract expressionistic poses like "the tea cup." And now, outta nowhere, the head scratch seems to be asking--"am I still hip?"  Don't worry, you are still very hip.  

Trend Report: Protective Goggles For Smoking

Of course smoking is hip right now-it's pretty much always in style-but making weird faces when the smoke gets in your eyes can really ruin a perfectly hip outfit.  We have been noticing a lot of these protective goggles for smokers and there for sure going to be huge for summer 09 all the way through winter, no doubt.  Whoever thought of these things is a G-E-N-I-U-S!
