Trend Report: Wall + Animals Bust = Must Have for Winter.

I heard something about 2009 having the Summer Of Death. Summer is so 2 months ago but death is so now. So, it's only obvious that Animals have paired up with Wall to create stunning collaborations, and are very big out there, right now. Animal of choice for this unlikely collabo? The Deer my dears. Plus writing with disregard to grammar is very big out there, right now, too..

Animals are still hip. But, what is the hippest animal? Right now the cat (feline) is clawing it's way to the top of some our very favorite point and shoot photos. I'm allergic to cats but I am not allergic to the grrr poses I have been seeing. They are ferocious examples of hipness, in the know-ness, and trend setting-ness. Accessorize with this animal-get some kitty ears and make a little claw for the camera.

Trending up, way up.  Prevalence of animal hipness is at an all time high.  Pose with them. Heart them, copy their gestures. And now take a hint from them: animals are cooler than you.  Inspiration from the vault.

Audrey Hepburn, an american icon, was no stranger to posing with animals. She had wonderful style, and choice of animals. Sometimes it's important to look to the past for inspiration: Audrey knew that an animal can be used to accessorize with-as we can see from these photos. I wonder if she was aware of the inversion theory of animal hipness? The law states that as technology increases in society the more hip un-technological things become. In 2009 owls are still running things. These wise old animals prove that intelligence is hip. Plus, having beautiful eyes that gaze with empty intent onto a sometimes less-than-hip world = sexy and aspirational. Make owls into products for your loft. Make owls into street art and paste them up! Make a dollar bill into the owl. Get an owl tatoo'd. Or hang out with your owl wrangling uncle--just to get to know an owl better. You won't regret it.

They say culture moves in 10 year cycles. But what about 1,000,000 year cycles? The ultimate retro statement spans well into the past, this season, and it's fun and sexy-for summer and other seasons too. Before fashion there was animals. Acting like them (and mimicking their iconic gestures) is currently being birthed in various culture incubators around the globe (Los Angeles, Paris, New York) as a very forward lifestyle choice. Its very hip to act like an animal as well as wear one on your shirt + perhaps hiding your human face with an animal mask (try adding smoking + smoking goggles to this.)
